Traveling with CBD: Pack a Little Peacefulness

Traveling with CBD: Pack a Little Peacefulness

Happy National Hemp Month! Reading Traveling with CBD: Pack a Little Peacefulness 6 minutes

New sights, new foods, and new experiences can all make a travel destination fun. But reaching that destination can be a different story.

Between packing, traffic, crowded airports, long flights, and unfamiliar beds, even a trip that’s meant to be relaxing can have its stressful moments. That’s where CBD, or cannabidiol, can fit into your travel routine.

CBD is a naturally occurring cannabinoid that many people use as part of their wellness routines. It’s non-intoxicating, so it won’t give you the “high” associated with THC. And for voyagers looking for mental and physical comfort, CBD may be the perfect travel accessory.

Take the Edge Off Travel Stress

Whether you’re traveling by car, plane, or cruise ship, getting from Point A to Point B can cause a little anxiety, whether it’s caused by heavy traffic or last-minute gate changes.

When your pleasure trip starts to feel like work, CBD can add a welcome dose of calm, whether you’re waiting to board your flight or ready to unwind after a long drive to your hotel.

Our Calm Ashwagandha CBD Hemp Extract Tincture is made with naturally occurring cannabinoids (including CBD, CBG, and CBC) that ease tension without producing a high. The tincture’s other main ingredient, Ashwagandha (KSM-66®), has been used for thousands of years to promote calm, clarity, and inner balance. Working together, they ease stress-related tension, support a more focused mindset, and help you take the edge off without zoning out.

Another calming option is our Chamomile Mint - Chill, a caffeine-free herbal elixir that offers 16 mg of relaxing CBD. The flavors of chamomile flowers and peppermint blend beautifully, while helping weary voyagers unwind after a long day of travel.

Reduce Travel-Related Discomfort

Mind you, traveling isn’t just mentally stressful.

Long periods of sitting, hauling luggage, walking through airports, and exploring a new city on foot can leave you physically exhausted. CBD is often used by people looking to support their overall sense of comfort and wellness, including after physically demanding activities.

That makes it a potentially useful addition to a travel wellness routine, especially when your vacation involves more physical activity than your normal day.

When your day needs a healthful, great-tasting boost, our Turmeric Ginger Shot offers 30 MG of all-natural CBD in an infusion that mixes the flavors of organic ginger juice, organic turmeric, and organic honey, all in a small, easily transportable bottle.

Of course, gummies are another convenient way to enjoy the benefits of CBD, and our Matcha Raspberry CBD Wellness Gummies (made with our popular matcha-and-raspberry combo) include not just CBD, but cannabinol (better known as CBN), which can be used to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and promote better sleep.

Similarly, our Hot Cinnamon Gummies offer not just CBD, but also CBN and cannabigerol (typically abbreviated as CBG), an element that supports sleep, regulates mood, and strengthens appetite, all in a delicious gummy with notes of hot cinnamon.

Wind Down After a Long Day

You’ve spent the day sightseeing. You ate like there was no tomorrow. You got your steps in, and then some. Now, it’s time to sleep.

Except you can’t.

Travel has a way of disrupting your normal routine, and sleeping in an unfamiliar place can make it even harder to settle down. CBD’s relaxing properties can help to support a calmer bedtime routine that helps you get the rest you’ll need tomorrow.

That’s the whole idea behind Holy Basil & Coconut - Sleep, an herbal elixir packed with holy basil, coconut pieces, turmeric, goji berries, nutmeg, and 25 mg of CBD-rich hemp extract. Brew a cup, add a drop or two of honey, and drift off to blissful rest.

An equally restful blend, our Hemp Moringa - Deep Sleep Wellness Blend is inspired by traditional Ayurvedic beverages. Combining the intense flavors of hemp, moringa, holy basil, turmeric, goji berries, and coconut, this one-of-a-kind cup is designed to help you unwind and enjoy deep sleep.

Know Before You Go

The first caveat we’ll offer is that everyone responds to CBD differently. If you’re new to CBD, it’s a good idea to understand how your body responds before you make it part of your travel routine.

And then, there’s legality to consider.

In the United States, TSA guidance says marijuana and certain cannabis-infused products remain illegal under federal law, except for products containing no more than 0.3% THC on a dry-weight basis or products approved by the FDA. If TSA discovers a suspected illegal substance, it may refer the matter to law enforcement.

Before you toss CBD products into your suitcase and head to the airport, check the label to make sure you know exactly what’s in the product and how much THC it contains.

The good news? If you’re bringing a product that contains only CBD and not THC, you’re likely well within that “no more than 0.3% THC” limit. Just remember that liquids should be under three ounces.

That being said: be sure to check the rules for wherever you’re going.

State laws can differ, and international destinations may have their own restrictions on CBD and hemp-derived products. The fact that a product is legal where you live does not automatically mean it is legal where you’re traveling. The FAA specifically recommends that international travelers research destination requirements and customs restrictions before leaving.

When in doubt, check with your airline, your destination’s customs or government authority, and the relevant transportation agency before you travel. A few minutes of research at home can save you a whole lot of trouble later.
