People often have a lot of questions about CBD, including “how often can I use it?”
The answer is really more about not how often, but how much. CBD is safe to use every day, certainly more than once a day. But as with everything, moderation is always key. As is listening to your body, which is key when it comes to CBD.
Everyone’s Different
We’ve said it before, and we’ll continue to say it: how much CBD you use and how often depends on many factors, including:
- Your body weight
- Your individual body chemistry
- Any other medications you’re taking that might have CBD in them
- The desired effect of taking CBD
Because CBD isn’t psychoactive, which means it won’t give you the “high” of THC, you don’t have to worry about regular use of CBD causing any issues like that. But also because it’s not regulated by the FDA, there are no hard and fast guidelines to follow about a “daily recommended amount.” Think of determining your usage of CBD like a race car driver – taking the vehicle (in this case, your body) out for trial runs using different tire set ups, engine configurations, fuel sources, etc. to determine what works best to help them win the race!
What Are You Trying to Achieve?
How often and how much CBD you take also depends on what you want to achieve:
- Better sleep?
- Enhanced focus?
- Less anxiety?
- Sense of calm?
- Pain and inflammation relief?
If your goal is enhanced focus, you’ll likely benefit from a lower dose, possibly with caffeine like one of our CBD teas or coffees. Lowering stress and anxiety might call for a mid-level dose, and pain relief a higher dose. How often you take it depends, again, on how well your body handles each level of CBD and if that level helps you achieve your goal.
A Dose for Everyone
While everyone’s different, there is a CBD dose and frequency that’s right for you. We always encourage people to start with a smaller dosage level, listen to your body and then move on. Remember: be the race car driver, only not in such a hurry! Don’t expect your life to change overnight; give it a little time to work.
